Parodist Bob Kanefsky's Award-Winning First CD! Bob is often described as the "Weird Al Yankovic of filk". But that's not quite true.
Unlike Weird Al, Bob Kanefsky ("Kanef") doesn't record his own parodies. Instead, he hands off that honor to the original artists.
Roundworm collects fifteen of Bob's most delicious parodies, led by the filk dream team of Julia Ecklar and Heather Alexander.
Julia and Heather are joined by Leslie Fish, Taunya Gren, Kristoph Klover, Kathy Mar, Steve Macdonald, Seanan McGuire, Ookla the Mok, and Acacia Sears, along with Bay Area folk heavyweights Annwn, Jon Berger (formerly of Tempest), Margaret Davis, Karl Franzen, Cat Taylor and Mark Ungar.
Produced by Kristoph Klover, Roundworm continues Prometheus's tradition of uncompromising clear sound and impeccable musicianship, garnering regular radio airplay on the folk music circuit.
Songs: Acts of Parody, Nobody's Moggy Lands, Doppel-entendre, Mutant Generations, Something's Under the Bed, By the Time I Get To..., The Comforts of Home, Eternal Flame, Wise Men Feared to Tread (Where Giants Walked), Mineral Rights, Threes, Take 3, December of Cambreadth, Meltdown, Dear Departed, Black Flag
